Technical Consultant
Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, support the technical implementation of Fogbreak software suite of applications. Typical tasks include assessing the technology architecture at the customer location, working with the supply chain analyst and project manager to identify integration points to various systems, building the necessary adaptors to extract data from source systems, building the necessary transformations, data conversions and data mapping to load data into Fogbreak applications. Coordinate with engineering and product management to deliver software enhancements per committed schedule. Drive future product requirements to meet real world business scenarios. Be the conduit for product validation of integration features. Provide technology training as necessary to customers. Conduct best practices sessions with engineering, product management and other professional service personnel. Contribute to white papers and other relevant collateral. Support system integrator partnership management activities as necessary. Travel is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree desired
- 6-8 years of experience required, including 4+ years project implementation experience in a technology role/practice. Experience with a supply chain management application implementation (Eg: I2, Manugistics) is a plus. Startup experience is a plus. Experience with managing multiple concurrent projects is a plus.
- Experience working in the High Technology domain is highly desired, especially involving electronic equipment OEMs and Contract Manufacturers.
- Deep experience with Java/J2EE, web technologies and internet-based software solutions is required
- Experience with implementation of B2B technology platforms like WebMethods, TIBCO, Extricity/Peregrine is highly desired
- Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) required.
