Managing Joint Inventory Liability and Risk between OEMs, Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers

Speakers:   Vinay Askegar from AMR and Jim Booth

Today's leading supply chains are driven by strategies to share inventory liability and financial risk among OEMs, contract manufacturers and suppliers. Unfortunately, these strategies are extremely difficult to implement because companies are forced to rely on their existing ERP and supply chain planning systems for their actual inventory execution and those systems don't take these strategies into account.

This one hour seminar will outline the importance of executing to these strategies and how, with Fogbreak, companies can create a structured solution that ensures that key inventory decisions are made with the full understanding of their impact on inventory liability and financial risk.

  • When should a product go end of life?
  • When should an engineering change be implemented?
  • How can you avoid excess and obsolete write offs?
  • What is the cost of a potential change in the build plan or forecast?
  • How can you avoid expedite, cancel and reschedule penalties?

Vinay Askegar from AMR and Jim Booth will share industry trends, best practices and their strategies for OEMs, contract manufacturers and suppliers to minimize inventory liability and financial risk in the supply chain. From the seminar, attendees will learn how to:

  • Implement well structured, best practice agreements that minimize financial risk in the supply chain
  • Link actual inventory execution to your desired inventory strategies
  • Mitigate inventory liabilities with your customers and suppliers
  • Minimize E&O inventory due to ECO, EOL and execution errors
  • Reduce unplanned PPV
